Fear Fest: Black Summer 2022 | Summary of the biggest and scariest video game horror event

The ritual is complete! There were laughs, there was insight, but most importantly, there were tons and tons of horror. Feardemic’s Fear Fest 2022: Black Summer Edition has concluded its impressive almost 7 hours long horror extravaganza watched by over 35 thousand people on various channels on September 6. The FF:BS Steam event, however, is still running and will continue until September 12. Missed the show? Don’t worry, you can watch the full VOD of the broadcast with convenient timestamps on Feardemic’s youtube channel.

The horror games publisher Feardemic has done it again! Their massive, nearly 7-hours-long show, Feardemic’s Fear Fest 2022: Black Summer Edition, featuring over 80 horror games, including ones from big-name studios like Creepy Jar, NACON, Wales Interactive, Bandai Namco, and Bloober Team, has aired on September 6. Over 35 thousand viewers across different channels and platforms saw horror game trailers, developer interviews, influencer gameplay of unreleased demos, and even a found-footage-style horror movie woven in between the rest of the broadcast. You can find the full lineup of games on Fear Fest’s website, where you’ll also find the list of all participating influencers.

That is not, however, the end of the fun, as the accompanying Steam Event is still running until September 12, and Feardemic continues posting amazing content, like full versions of developer interviews from Fear Fest, on their YouTube channel, where you can also find the entire VOD of the event if you missed the show. They are also running contests and other activities on their Discord and Twitter so keep your eyes peeled.

We’d like to thank all of the participating developers, influencers, and every single one of our viewers, whether they watched our broadcast directly or while hanging out in their favorite streamer’s channel. When we were first brainstorming the idea for a horror games event, we could’ve never imagined the incredible turnout we’ve received, both in terms of the number of participants as well as the viewership. Our decision to not embargo the broadcast proved to be the right choice as it led to over 35 thousand people watching the show across different channels and platforms.

It would take too long to name all the games that took part in the show but you can find the whole lineup on the Fear Fest website. Similarly, you can check out the full list of influencers who helped make Fear Fest happen in the respective section.

We’d also like to take this opportunity to apologize to Broken Bird Games, as due to human error we did not include their amazing game, Luto, in our show. You can view the missing trailer HERE. Please, give their game some love and wishlists, and rest assured that we will include Luto in our Fear Fest Summary video which will also feature a lot of unshown footage from the event.

We’re looking forward to hosting another Fear Fest next year, and using the experience we gained from hosting Fear Fest 2022: Black Summer Edition, to make it even greater. In the meantime, we will continue running different activities and contests on our Discord and Twitter until the event ends on September 12. Once again, huge thanks to everyone involved,

Diana Biszczanik, Marketing Director at Feardemic
